Causal Graphical Models (2025)

Graphical diagrams provide a concise and intuitive way to describe the structural assumptions in a statistical or causal model. This short course will provide a unified introduction to causal graphical models. The following topics will be covered:1. Directed mixed graphs and matrix algebra of walks.2. Linear systems and linear structural equation models.3. Statistical models associated with undirected graphs, directed acyclic graphs, and acyclic directed mixed graphs.4. Causal modelling and causal identification using acyclic directed mixed graphs.
