I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Statistical Laboratory at the University of Cambridge, and I am also affiliated to Jesus College, Cambridge, as College Research Associate.
-
data sketching, hashing and random projection methods; a particular application of interest is real-time monitoring of time series of seismic signals for the purpose of detecting phases of vulcanic activity (interdisciplinary project with the Department of Earth Sciences, University of Oxford).
-
Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) convergence assessment and regenerative simulation, with application to Bayesian hierarchical clustering with an unknown number of clusters.
-
classification and regression trees and random forests for predicting offender risk (interdisciplinary project with the Institute of Criminology, University of Cambridge).
-
sequential Monte Carlo algorithms, Bayesian methods, and variable selection in large p, small n scenarios.
Please visit my Research page for more details about my research interests.
In July 2009, I obtained a doctoral degree from the Department of Statistics, University of Oxford, under the supervision of Dr. Peter Clifford. I also hold a Bachelor degree in pure mathematics and a Master's degree in statistics from McGill University, Canada.
