Nathanael Berestycki's Home Page

Welcome to my homepage. I am a graduate student at Cornell University and Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris (in case you wonder how this is possible, eventually, I will get my Ph.D. degree from both places).

I study probability theory under the supervision of my advisors Rick Durrett in Cornell and Jean-François Le Gall in Paris.

My area of research is the Theory of stochastic processes in general, and, more specifically, random walks on the symmetric group and related processes, although I also have some interests in more traditional subjects like Brownian motion.
