Welcome to my homepage. I am a graduate student at Cornell University and Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris (in case you wonder how this is possible, eventually, I will get my Ph.D. degree from both places). I study probability theory under the supervision of my advisors Rick Durrett in Cornell and Jean-François Le Gall in Paris. My area of research is the Theory of stochastic processes in general, and, more specifically, random walks on the symmetric group and related processes, although I also have some interests in more traditional subjects like Brownian motion.

• A phase transition in the random transposition random walk, with Rick Durrett (preprint). That was the subject of my talk at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, N.Y.U. in Feb. 2004, and at I.H.P, Paris in Sept. 2003 (see below).

Work in preparation

• Large deviations for Poisson-Dirichlet distributions and Applications.
• Is the Cayley distance smooth ? (joint work with Rick Durrett)
• A somewhat more periodic (and therefore less advanced) project with Marc Yor (see also here) on Brownian motion, the Lévy-Fitzsimmons identity, and continuous random trees.
