About the Conference

Every year RSC is organised by postgraduates, for postgraduates, providing a friendly environment for students to meet others with similar interests. RSC has become rather popular and for its 28th year we are expecting around 150 delegates to attend.

If delegates decide to present their work, they can do so in the form of an oral presentation or a poster. The oral presentations will generally be of 15 minute duration, with the option of longer talks for those who make a request. Talks will run in (probably 4) parallel sessions throughout the second and third days of the conference. Posters will be displayed for the whole duration of the conference and there will be a dedicated session, on the second day, where delegates will have the opportunity to chat with the authors.

On the afternoon of the 6th of April a wine reception will be held, at which sponsors will be invited to display promotional stands, providing an informal and relaxed environment for delegates and sponsors to find out more about each other. This creates an excellent opportunity for those considering their options after the completion of their studies.

Accommodation will be provided in Fitzwilliam College, easy to reach and close to the conference site. For more information please click on the 'Accommodation' link to the left.

We anticipate the cost of this year's conference to be 180, now payable upon registration. The registration fee includes accommodation, meals and entertainment. The deadline for registration and for abstract submission is the 7th March. Numbers attending must be finalised by 18th March 2005 so, regretfully, it will not be possible to make refunds to anyone who has paid and has to withdraw after this date.

The organisers of this year's Conference are listed in the "Contacts" section to the left. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any queries.
