Welcome to the website of RSC 2005, the 28th annual Conference of Research Students in Probability and Statistics.
This year, RSC will be hosted by students from the University of Cambridge, in the Statistical Laboratory, the
MRC Biostatistics Unit and the
Cambridge Institute for Medical Research.

The conference is an annual event designed to give postgraduate
probabilists and statisticians an appropriate forum to present
their research. It also provides an excellent opportunity for
postgraduates to make contact and discuss their work with people
working in similar fields.
For many students, this conference will provide their first experience
of presenting a talk or a poster. Students who attend the event
for the first time often choose not to present their work, however
they still benefit from attending the talks.
Delegates are also given the opportunity to chair a session,
thus making another very useful experience
