MAST – Scholarships in Statistics and Operational Research

The Master of Advanced Studies in Mathematics (Part III) is the one-year Master of Mathematics course taught at the University of Cambridge. It includes a range of courses that cover core statistical methodologies as well as the mathematical underpinnings of operational research. Further information can be found on the Mathematics Faculty website.

DPMMS has been provided with funds by EPSRC which will support awards covering fees and maintenance for up to two students and fees only for up to a further six students. The intention is that students supported by these earmarked funds will progress to a PhD in Statistics or Operational Research.

Continuing Cambridge students are ineligible to apply. Eligibility will follow the usual EPSRC DTA restrictions.

If you wish to be considered please contact Dr Susan Pitts, and provide a short summary of your past exposure to courses in Statistics/OR and your future plans in this field.

The deadline for receipt of funding applications is the 31 March 2012.
