Building on last year's successful April
meeting
the
Cambridge Statistics
Initiative will host another Special One-Day Meeting. This is
part of continuing efforts to bring together statisticians from various
fields
within the University of Cambridge and outside, to meet as well as
encourage
new research collaborations.
The CSI is funded by the EPSRC Science and Innovation Award,
Isaac Newton
Institute, School of Physical Sciences, and Maths to enhance and foster
innovative research into statistics, bridging applied and theoretical
statistics.
PROGRAMME
:
Potential speakers
will be given the option to present on their current
research OR a problem that they have not solved yet.
Speakers once again have a choice of 4 minutes, 10 minutes,
or 20 minutes.
You are warmly invited to present.

Please alert your contacts as we may still be able to accommodate a few more
short talks. Student and post-doc contribution is especially
encouraged.
All talk times include discussion. For the 4-minute talks, we recommend

work.
Please provide us with a talk title and very brief abstract, by Friday,

talk to the event on a memory stick (we will load them between 9:00-9:30).
