Practical arrangements

Accommodation for speakers will be at Downing College Conference Accommodation. Other accommodation may be found at UniversityRooms.

Cambridge is reachable from all London airports.

  • The closest one (only operating flights to/from Europe) is London Stansted (STN), about 30 minutes by train from Cambridge.
  • London Heathrow (LHR) and London Gatwick (LGW) operate international flights and are both about 2 hours by train from Cambridge.

If you are interested in booking a taxi from the airport, it is advisable to book it in advance as the rates are much cheaper. One taxi company is Panther Taxis. Transfers (one way) to and from the different airports are roughly GBP 60 (Stansted), GBP 120 (Heathrow), and GBP 140 (Gatwick).
