How do I connect my laptop to the Internet from the CMS?

Most offices should have a WiFi signal. The recommended network to use is eduroam, but note that this needs to be configured before first use. Visitors are advised to do this before leaving their home institution. Mobile broadband is unlikely to work reliably because mobile signals are weak in the buildings.

Wired connections are also available, but only on wall-ports which are part of the CMS secure laptop network (normally indicated by an orange cable). You may need to ask me to wire up a new socket. You will need to authenticate yourself, either via wired eduroam or with a web browser and Raven password.
