What computers does the Statslab have?
Most of the Statslab's computers are PCs running Scientific Linux. We
also have some Windows XP machines. All offices should have at least
one computer per person. Public Linux and Windows PCs can be found in
the computer teaching room in the basement, and there are also two
public Windows PCs on the first floor.

Please
run jobs on the desktops rather than the servers, because if a server
is overloaded it slows down everyone's work and I may have to reboot
it immediately. Consider using the supercomputers for jobs which
require large amounts of memory.
