I can't access my files
If this happens under Linux, all you can do is tell me. However, it
is more common to have trouble accessing your files from Windows.
Your home directory should show up automatically as drive H:, but the
icon may disappear if the Windows PC crashes. A reboot will often
clear this up, but if it fails, you need to tell the computer about
drive H:.
To do this, open a command
prompt and type
net use H: \\spaces.statslab.cam.ac.uk\username
replacing ``username'' with your username. Enter your username and
password, and if the command completes successfully, you should now be
able to access your home directory as drive H:. This procedure will
also work from laptops connected to the wired CMS laptop network or
using eduroam.
